 What did he do?

He has always provided assistance, not just with a smile on his face and a positive attitude but also in a timely fashion – no task is too big or small and you never feel like a luddite for asking a question when sometimes the answer really is ‘have you tried turning it off and on again’? Both in person and on the phone he is affable, polite and a credit to the team as a whole. Alex always finds solutions and not problems, he goes over and above and nothing is too much trouble. As mentioned above, Alex has a positive outlook and is both emphatic and driven when it comes to providing assistance. He goes the extra mile when it comes to customer care, checking personally that problems are resolved before closing out a query. Alex listens and asks questions to understand what the issue is when dealing with queries – he always goes the extra mile and he finds solutions quickly.

How has the business benefited from their actions?
I think the business has benefited as Alex adds value to the team through his interactions with staff within the business; interactions which strengthen the image of having a professional, approachable and knowledgeable team. He communicates clearly and effectively which is absolutely vital in a customer-facing role and by clear communication the business benefits from queries being resolved quickly through clear and precise explanations of problems and solutions. Sometimes when you have a problem you want it to be fixed immediately and any delay when you are trying to get on with work can be incredibly frustrating. I feel that Alex adds value by solving issues in a timely manner and ensures that he gets it right first time.
